This is a birthday post! Attention: this is a birthday post. Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] sigrundora!! See what I made in your honor!

In 2010 I wrote a stunning fic, in 2011, while drunk on some dubious Japanese beverages, I wrote a sequel and in 2012 I bring you MORE Chad!

Title: The Heavy Tears of Chad Michael Murray
Fandom: Only RPS would allow Chad Michael Murray and someone's baby to co-exists within the same story
Rating: Pretty tame considering.
How offensive: Very. There are tears and everything.
Genre: The unlikeliest of creatures. CMM hurt/comfort.
Who the hell told you that you could post this? No one. It's your virgin eyes that get the honor to burn.

Let me tell you a sad story )

Let's hope LJ stays up while I compose one birthday post.

Some years ago (the exact number will not be disclosed here), a certain roomie of mine was born. An event we clearly need to celebrate with the sequel to last year's birthday fic.

Title: Chad Michael Murray And The Hopeless Search For The Bromance
Fandom: RPS rots your brain yo!
Rating: Tastes a lot like crack.
Pairing: Chris and Steve totally get their mack on.
Sponsored by: Suntory who makes carbonated alcoholic tea which tastes rather nice.
Ingredients: Take one CMM, his want for bromance and mix with a good amount of craziness.
Approved by: my "Jewish Lesbian wife" whom I left in Japan.

Let's Look for The Bromance )

Title: How Chad Michael Murray Learned All About The Tinhat Awards
Fandom: Mostly CWRPS with a hint of ice and Adam Lambert, shaken and not stirred.
Rating: C for crack and Ooh la la for what Stéphane Lambiel is hoping for.
Who is hooking up with whom? J2 + M2 4EVA. Also look out for mentions of strange wildlife like the cute and cuddly zebraswan, the elusive swangoose and the most intriguing zebraswangoose. Also a slight Kradam and a Pinto bean or two. And more for those who choose to see it that way.
Dude, what the hell? Chad Michael Murray has much left to learn. That's all I'm saying.
Production notes: This brilliant masterpiece was a bit longer in production than first anticipated. The creator is just a total slore. This incredibly moving tale of personal growth and camaraderie is dedicated to one [livejournal.com profile] sigrundora. Yep, now you have a written prove of how incredibly insane your roommate is.

You're such a freeloader, Chad! )

I'm so tired and yet I hardly did a thing today. Well, except being on the edge of my seat watching skating and trying to write a short story for my writing workshop. At least I managed to finish the short story.

Incoherent ramblings about the Worlds )

Whoa, I rambled. Now I'm gonna go off and look at a fabulous Johnny picspam someone posted on [livejournal.com profile] ontd_skating.

There isn't much point with this post except to wish people happy birthday. I'm pretty sure neither of those two I'm going to wish a happy birthday to, will ever read this post. One is fictional and I sincerely hope the other one has more sense than to be reading the LJs of his fans.

Happy Birthday to Ronald Bilius Weasley. I'm sure you are wearing the thirty years well, bb.

And Happy Birthday to Jensen Ackles who hopefully isn't back at work today but having a lie-in instead. And hopefully someone makes him laugh today.

Maybe even the currently newly-wed dude whose fall through a door made for this wonderful laughing Jensen gif above.

First, a couple of public service announcements.

To the Icelandic people:

There are couple of reasons for the Brits acting so extremely about those savings accounts that the Icelandic banks were offering in the UK.

One. While we like our savings here and would rather not lose them, the Brits care twice as much. For a lot of Brits, their savings are their pension. The state pension in the UK is generally ridiculously meagre so most people have to save up for the twilight years. So people's savings being lost is a huge, huge deal for them. I even dare to say a lot more than it would be for us.

Two. The harsh reaction of the politicians, Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling, threatening law suits and using anti-terrorist laws to freeze the Icelandic banks' assets in the UK both stems from the remarks of Icelandic politicians whom for the most part are rather incompetent (sorry, I'd make a better minister of financial affairs than that veterinarian we have there) and the fact that their government has had an abysmal approval rating and not acting on this, would have cost them dearly in the matter of public opinion. It's not pretty but that's the way it is. In fact it has very little to do with us as the Icelandic nation per se.

Then to the British public:

Sorry for those greedy Icelandic entrepreneurs and the way we stuck our heads in the sand when we should have realised that there was something up with the way how they were doing business. Unfortunately I think our politicians, incompetents as they are, are right. We might have some difficulties with paying back as we need to keep some money to sustain ourself. Plus our own currency is completely down the drain at the moment. Show us some pity, mmm 'kay?

So to sum this up, let's hold hands and be friends and say fuck you to capitalism and its collapses.

On to fun and exciting things.

An oldie but goldie of mine was voted to be a featured fic at The Quidditch Pitch for this month.

Love the banner. Incidentally, the art isn't much in the spirit of the story but it's pretty art nevertheless.

Being lazy is when you don't even feel like posting a link to your [livejournal.com profile] wizard_love fic. (Don't worry, I will.)

Instead have a meme I gacked from [livejournal.com profile] doctoraicha. Go to YouTube, search for the year of your birth, and then post a video from that year.

It was hard to choose, as 1979 was a very good year for music and things like that.

I ended up not being able to choose from these two videos:

What's under the cut? )

Why yes, 1979 was a bit camp year.
hildigunnur: (wtf? hermione)
Found this link on [livejournal.com profile] ohnotheydidnt.

Top Ten Celebrities and top ten fictional men women fantasize about.

While I find Frank Lampard very unattractive, I can see what people see in him.

But warming 7th place on the list for fictional men is a Harry Potter character. I think most of the fandom will go WTF over that one. That's all I can say.

Just click the link and see.

I think I've finally cracked. At least from all the deadlines I've been facing regarding creative fan works. I finished my round 2 challenge for the 2nd wave of [livejournal.com profile] hprwfqf and I'm pretty sure that it's the crackiest thing I've ever done. At least in years.

Those of you who have hung around this LJ for some time, might remember me drawing crude line art comics. Yes, I've done so again. And since it's Harry Potter/Lost cross-over, it's utter crack. You can check it out here. Not work safe though.

I, on the other hand, am going to bed. Let's see if I end up deleting the whole thing in the morning.
