It's not like I need the writing inspiration (my BigBang keeps on growing but the end is not in sight) but since

alphabet26 did a rather great job with this meme, I had to try.

I picked Dean Winchester because I owe him (and because

alphabet26 did such a great job with Sam). I wrote a fic about Dean that got Kripke'd big time before I could even contemplate posting it. I don't think I capture Dean all that well but at least I gave it an honest try.

First, a couple of public service announcements.

To the Icelandic people:

There are couple of reasons for the Brits acting so extremely about those savings accounts that the Icelandic banks were offering in the UK.

One. While we like our savings here and would rather not lose them, the Brits care twice as much. For a lot of Brits, their savings are their pension. The state pension in the UK is generally ridiculously meagre so most people have to save up for the twilight years. So people's savings being lost is a huge, huge deal for them. I even dare to say a lot more than it would be for us.

Two. The harsh reaction of the politicians, Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling, threatening law suits and using anti-terrorist laws to freeze the Icelandic banks' assets in the UK both stems from the remarks of Icelandic politicians whom for the most part are rather incompetent (sorry, I'd make a better minister of financial affairs than that veterinarian we have there) and the fact that their government has had an abysmal approval rating and not acting on this, would have cost them dearly in the matter of public opinion. It's not pretty but that's the way it is. In fact it has very little to do with us as the Icelandic nation per se.

Then to the British public:

Sorry for those greedy Icelandic entrepreneurs and the way we stuck our heads in the sand when we should have realised that there was something up with the way how they were doing business. Unfortunately I think our politicians, incompetents as they are, are right. We might have some difficulties with paying back as we need to keep some money to sustain ourself. Plus our own currency is completely down the drain at the moment. Show us some pity, mmm 'kay?

So to sum this up, let's hold hands and be friends and say fuck you to capitalism and its collapses.

Well, I've never actually posted this fic in my LJ but those who are members of

erotic_elves can find it there. But after much consideration, I decided this was my hottest sex scene, to me at least. It hits so thoroughly my kinks for D/s and dirty talk, some of my other fics have come close to this but I think this one does it because I think I did a good job of describing the sub's powerlessness without ever going into any dub-con (which would have been a turn-off for me). So the warnings would be D/s, dirty talk and a little bit of roleplaying.

First off, a Harry New Year to you all.

I revamped my profile a little yesterday - well, I kind of cut down on the crap in it so to speak. I've decided to do an official step in the direction which I've been going in and that's to go semi friends-only. Pure fandom posts and such will remain open but they aren't that many. A little bit more than one a month or so.

I'm also in the process of locking old entries. I've 2002, 2003 and 2004 left and back then I was rather lax with stuff about me personally.

Gosh, I feel absolutely bad because I kind of miss

sarka's birthday. You see, it's already 28th and her birthday is the 27th.

I didn't forget, I was trying to put together something for her but it was hard as my muse has gone off somewhere. (Which is kind of bad when you are trying to write a billion challenge and exchange fics).

But still I manged to churn out my first, proper foray into Sirius/Remus. It's kind of amazing that there are three years since I posted my first slash fic and I'm just now writing Sirius/Remus.

My nose is stuffed and my sinuses hurt. Under most circumstances, I'd probably stayed home but I didn't because I have a hyper-active conscience.

Anyway, the

reversathon masterlist is up, full of interesting revelations. I was able to correctly guess the authors of some fics, like the fic that was written for me, Life is a Great Adventure by

titti. Gosh, that fic was brilliant. I'm actually very happy about all the Ron/Draco fics and I haven't read them all yet.

I, on the other hand, wrote the only trio fic for the whole ficathon. Pieced Together for

dsneyvoice.

This, also, happens to be the first triofic I complete and I'm very happy about it. It's perhaps not very innovative fic but then again the request called out for a pretty straight forward fic.

Made a nice change from my

sunandsmut and

lameos_maximus fics.

Plus I'm already looking forward to the next

reversathon.

To my utter amazement, I've been writing a lot (well, a lot by my standards) these last few days. That's a positive thing as I do have four stories I need to complete.

First it's my

sunandsmut assignment which was so interesting and I totally throwing myself into the deep end of the pool with going outside of my pairing comfort zone but I seem to have a strong voice of one of the characters which surprises me a lot because it's a character who hardly constitutes as a blip on my favourite character radar.

Then there's the thing for

lameos_maximus, I picked a request for Ron/Viktor and so far it's been a blast to write.

I also went slightly insane and signed up for

summerwriting but the thing is that I've had this huge Ron dark fic bunny for age, I've even written out the entire plot and I just need to write it. As it's really not a shippy story, I've been wondering about the right venue but I think

summerwriting will be the right platform. But we'll see what will happen, I'm writing it in first person, a PoV I tend to shy away from reading but the bloody bunny calls for it. But then again, the subject of this fic is such that I doubt many will want to read it. The warnings will definitely be: "Character death, suicide, angst, more angst, ~~rocks fall, everybody dies~~."

Then there's my

hprwfqf fic but it's for the third wave of that which is due in late August - September I believe and therefore I don't feel like worrying about that now.

But I wish I'd been this productive last fall when I was supposed to write my

rwhgfqf and

triofqf fics. I think I will write the trio fic at one point or the other because the bunny is still there. I did lose what I'd written when Remus's hard drive went caput but I'm going to write that story before the 7th book is published, hell or high water.

The funny thing is that I think

misspince caused this recent flare of creativity. Not sure if it was the beta I did for her or if she generally caused my muse to go into hyper-drive.

My biggest fear is when I finish writing all this, the only bunny I'm left unwritten will be a Ron/Snape detective crack!bunny. O_o

Heheh, looking through my "Writings" folder on my computer is very, very interesting. Found a R/Hr smut fic I never posted, I didn't even remember that I had finished the thing. It's close to four years since I wrote it so it's quite different from the smut I write today. Very, very fluffy.
