Again it slipped my mind to do the Twelve Months of Smut recs on time. Here are the recs for October.
Football by
deleerium (NC-17 overall)
While I'm totally going steady with the Harry Potter fandom and all, I have these gorgeous, passion filled flings with LotRips. When I read Football, I certainly had one of those flings (well, I should say three flings as I've read Football three times). It is simply a brilliant fic which totally hits all my buttons when it comes to why I read fanfics. It's an AU where Orlando Bloom and Elijah Wood are high school students in small town Texas where they are both on the football team. It just melts your brain in million good ways. Seriously, if I need to convince someone about why one should read slash, I'd tell them to read that fic.

Gorgeous and haunting. While I like my sunlit H/G, I like it with a bit darker hues as well and this picture really conveys that kind of mood without making the pairing into anything dysfunctional or something like that.

Ask me what happens after the end of one of my stories.
I may have more than one answer depending on the story.
Or tell me your own theories.
