I love LJ! Recs all around!
I'm not a master at rec'ing (if there's such a thing as being a rec'ing master). But I like doing it and I even have a giant rec post which is also for my convenience as I collect my favourite fics there with a little commentary. Incidentally I updated said post earlier with over 20 stories, mostly HP but I think a couple of The O.C. fics found their way into it.

themorningstarr's Twelve Months of Smut Challenge and now have posted recs of eleven months though sometimes they weren't quite on time. The Dec 2005 recs aren't on time but what the hell, I think you can live with getting them tonight instead. If you are interested in them, just check this link.
When I was updating the giant rec post, I saw I keep a lot to reading the same authors or I simply like everything some people write *glances atmad_maudlin and thetreacletart*.
But I decided to end the Twelve Months of Smut with a bang. With posting recs for a ship I normally shy from.
Alchemist's Crown bypurebloodgryff (NC-17)
This is such a hot fic with interesting characterization. I love how cynical!Hermione narrates having rather kinky sex with Harry at the restroom of a nightclub. This fic does stand out a bit. (And yes, I've a strange kink for het anal sex - I feel kind of weird about it though).
I Nearly Do bymidnight_ljc ('tis PG-13 but it has a lot of promise!)
I was going to rec another Harry/Hermione picture bymidnight_ljc but I couldn't find it but this one is very lovely too. Actually it's more than lovely. I absolutely salivate over every picture this girl does and she's 15! It's quite something to have this talent and such distinctive style at that age. Thus I happily look at everything she does, no matter what ship (but if you look through her deviantart gallery, there should be a very lovely Ron/Hermione picture.
