I should really deliver some reviews here. One for SPN 6.09 and one for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. But all I'm going to say is that SPN 6.09 was hilarious and the movie was awesome and I need to see it again soon (I might write more about it at a later point).

I snagged a meme from [livejournal.com profile] sasha_davidovna, a 30 days figure skating meme!

Day 1: How you got into figure skating

Well, I'm not quite certain. I remember watching figure skating at the Winter Olympics 1994 but I think I may have been watching skating earlier. At least I remember Katarina Witt competing and winning and the Carmen production with the two Brians and her. But I think the seed for my obsession was sown when I watched the 1998 Winter Olympics and saw Anissina's and Peizerat's free dance. But figure skating used to be a thing I only watched every four years until this year. And now I have an obsession.

I tried to watch Mel Brook's History of the World Part I today and that film is seriously unfunny. I watched about an hour of it and I only managed to crack a smile over the dude selling the columns in the Roman part. I knew it was a silly film but it was more stupid than silly. And what was up with those faggot comments? Well, I just wasted my money on that DVD. Maybe they should have put a warning label on the case, telling people who appreciate Monty Python's approach to make fun of history to stay away.

One day I'll write a post that isn't a meme. But this is not the day. This is a day for a film quote meme, supplied by [livejournal.com profile] onlymefeelinsad.

1. Pick 15 of your favourite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Fill in the film title once it's guessed.
5. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search functions. Totally cheating, you dirty cheaters.

Get your movie quotes here! )

ETA. You are quick. I post this and leave the computer for two hours and all the movies have been guessed, except for two. I'll give you couple of clues. #8 is a bit hard because that movie has a narrator but it isn't the narrator who's speaking the quote (obviously not). #9 is the most romantic movie I've ever seen.

ETA.2. You are a very clever lot, you know. All quotes have been correctly guessed.

Last night I saw a film I've been waiting for ever since I heard about it being made. The fact it was an Ang Lee film was enough for me. Yes, I'm talking about Brokeback Mountain.

Went to the cinema with [livejournal.com profile] causette who had scored free tickets to see A History of Violence and invited me to come with her which was very nice of her. Interesting film and very brutal. Can't say it was very innovative - seen that story before but good performance from everyone. Maria Bello in particular but maybe I'm more surprised about her because I didn't think she was that hot on ER back in the day. If it wasn't four o'clock in the morning, I might be tempted to do a proper review.
